Setting up your first blog can be a daunting task for many of us. No, you’re not alone! It’s so easy to become overwhelmed by all the pieces of the puzzle you have to fit together, from technology and social media to email marketing and analytics. It’s all too tempting to give up when the overwhelm becomes well…too overwhelming! And this is the reason why so many blogs never really make it off the ground.
Your blog IS going to make it off the ground! Just for now, forget all the words and terms you’ve never heard of before and the thousands of things you think you have to do. Because right now you don’t need to know about all of that. That comes in time. As you move from one step to the next, you learn what you need to learn and do what you need to do.
I’ve recently navigated the same labyrinths of information you’re wading through right now. I’ve asked the same questions, faced the same hurdles, had the same doubts and felt your sense of frustration and at times defeat.
That’s why I’m so excited to create a website that will help you learn in a way that makes creating your perfect blog a breeze. At the same time, my own learning journey continues as I put this website together.
WHY STARTING SMART ONLINE?
Just like most blogs are formed by people, teaching other people what they’ve learned form their own experiences, Starting Smart Online is no exception.
I created my first website with the help of a friend a couple of years ago. The more I learnt the more interested I was. BUT, it wasn’t as easy as I thought to create a respectable looking website and with all the required features and functionality.
Don’t get me wrong, there is an abundance of excellent information out there, but piecing it all together…well that’s another story!
That’s where this website comes in. I’m my own avatar if you like. My goal for Starting Smart Online is that it becomes the website I wished was around when I was starting out.
I’ve recently left my career in finance to spend more time with my two children and explore the infinite possibilities for earning an income online.
I love being an at home mum and doing what I do – learning, researching and creating. I love that I can share what I’ve learnt with you so now YOU can sit back, take it easy and ENJOY THE RIDE!
